Blackhawks vs. Flames game thread: Part 2

The Blackhawks and Flames continue action from the United Center after the first intermission on Wednesday. Need a place to discuss the rest of the game? Come join us!

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Spor

The Blackhawks and Flames are scoreless after one period at the United Center on Wednesday night, but things certainly look good in the shot column, where Chicago holds a 18-2 advantage. Corey Crawford was only really challenged on one breakaway chance, but Paul Byron hit iron with the shot to bail out goaltender.

The strong start from Jonas Hiller, who signed as a free agent over the summer, must be a relief for Calgary. He struggled in his first two games this season, saving just 57-of-64 (89 percent) attempts as the Flames lost both games he started, but has looked much better Wednesday. The pressure was certainly on given the play of the team's other goaltender, Karri Ramo.

Anyways, here's your place to continue discussing tonight's game, and hopefully that shot advantage can translate into an actual lead soon.

Go Hawks.
