After 40 minutes in Edmonton, it appears as though the Blackhawks have this one locked up. They have a 6-0 lead, and have dominated most of the play to this point. After scoring 3 goals in the first period, they added 3 more in the second, and Duncan Keith, Marian Hossa, and Kris Versteeg all scored. Verteeg and Hossa both scored on power plays.
It's great to see the 'Hawks offense clicking so well, especially against a team they have struggled against in the past. There's sure to be pushback from the Oilers here in the third, so it's not over yet. Let's see some good defense and preserve this shutout for Corey Crawford.
Here's the third and final game thread for the night. Go 'Hawks!
