Andrew Shaw will return to the Chicago Blackhawks lineup on Wednesday after missing three games with an upper-body injury, head coach Joel Queeneville stated on his weekly radio show "The Coach Q Show" on Tuesday.
Shaw has six points in 18 games this season.
Forward Phillip Danault was recalled on Friday and played in his first two NHL games over the weekend. He had zero points and averaged nine and half minutes of ice time. The 21-year-old filled in for Shaw and was reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Monday.
Danault has three goals and seven assists in 14 games with the IceHogs this season in his second full professional season.
Queeneville also stated forward Patrick Sharp is expected to return Wednesday, Dec. 3 in time for a central division matchup with St. Louis. Sharp, 32, was helped off the ice early in the third period of the Hawks' 5-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 4 at the Bell Centre. He was injured when the Habs' Alexei Emelin hit him along the boards.
Sharp resumed skating over the weekend, and should be ready to resume play after another week on the ice. He had nine points in 13 games earlier the season and 78 points in 82 games last season.
