Here is the weekly look at how some of the Chicago Blackhawks' prospects are performing around the globe, starting with the minor league affiliates.
Rockford
The IceHogs (18-7-2-1) started the week with a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Admirals (Predators) on Wednesday, before splitting two games on the road to the Lake Erie Monsters (Avalanche), 4-2 loss and 5-2 victory over the weekend.
Joakim Nordstrom scored a hat trick and an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over Lake Erie. He also contributed an assist Friday's game for a five-point week. T.J. Brennan registered a point in each game, including the game-winning goal against Milwaukee and two assist Saturday.
Garrett Ross also had a point in each game (1G, 2A), Phillip Danault had a goal and an assist in the loss to Lake Erie and an assist on Ross' goal, and another in Saturday's game. Teuvo Teravinen had two assists this week while Brandon Mashinter had a goal and an assist Saturday. Ville Pokka, Adam Clendening, Kyle Cumiskey and Ryan Hartman each had an assist.
Rockford associate coach Mark Osiecki is on a short hiatus from his job as he coaches the U.S. junior national team at the upcoming World Junior Championship in Canada.
NCAA, USHL, and others
Chris Calnan (F), Boston College (NCAA) - Calnan had two assists in the Golden Eagles' 5-1 win over Michigan on Saturday. He has seven goals and five assists in 15 games this season.
Anthony Louis (F), Miami Ohio (NCAA) - Louis and the RedHawks are on break until Dec. 28.
Michael Paliotta (D), Vermont (NCAA) - Paliotta had an assist in the Catamounts' 2-0 win over St. Lawrence on Saturday. He has 16 points this saxon (5G, 11A).
Nick Schmaltz (F), North Dakota (NCAA) - Schmaltz had the eventual game-winning goal in a 3-1 win over Denver. The freshman had his four-game point streak snapped in a 4-1 loss the previous night. He has three goals and 12 assists in 15 games this season.
Luke Johnson (F), North Dakota (NCAA) - Johnson was held scoreless in two games at Denver, but he did go 10-11 in the face-off circle. He has nine points (4G, 5A) this season.
Tyler Motte (F), Michigan (NCAA) - Motte was also held scoreless this week in a loss to Boston College. He has five goals and nine assists this season.
Vince Hinostroza (F), Notre Dame (NCAA) - Hinostroza and the Fighting Irish are on break until Dec. 28. He has 12 assists and 16 points this season.
John Hayden (F), Yale (NCAA) - Hayden and the Bulldogs are on break until Dec. 27. He has 10 points 3G, 7A) this season.
Fredrik Olofsson (F), Chicago Steel (USHL) - Olofsson scored two goals in Chicago's 8-1 win over Madison on Friday. He has a career-high 21 points this season.
Matheson Iacopelli (F), Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) - Iacopelli scored a power-play goal, his 17th of his USHL career, in the Lumberjack's 5-2 win over Sioux Falls on Friday. The 2014 third-round pick has 18 points (13G, 5A) in 22 games this season.
Ivan Nalimov (G), Admiral Vladivostok (KHL) - Nalimov has a 2.97 GAA and .895 SA over 19 games this season.
Carl Dahlstrom (D), Linkoping (SHL) - Dahlstrom skated in two games this week and has a goal and assist with a -9 rating in 30 outings this season.
Robin Press (D), Södertälje (Allsvenskan) - Press was held scoreless this week. He has 10 goals and 15 assists in 33 games this season.
