The Blackhawks got off to a much better start in the second period than they did in the first, and were in control for much of the middle frame. The 'Hawks powerplay looked a lot better in its one opportunity in the second period, with Brent Seabrook scoring in the closing seconds of he man-advantage to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 lead, which they will carry into the third period.
