Apologies for the delayed Bag Skate this morning, there was a little miscommunication but I'll assume we were just distracted by that insane five minutes in the third period. I had to watch the game on DVR since I was out for my mom's birthday and missed it live -- still totally awesome, though.
Anyways, here's the latest news:
**The 'Hawks quietly recalled Klas Dahlbeck from Rockford while sending Adam Clendening back to the AHL last night (CSN Chicago)
**Turns out the guy Patrick Kane needed to partner with all along was a healthy Kris Versteeg. The duo is rolling right now. (CSN Chicago)
**One of hockey's all-time greats, Jean Beliveau, passed away Tuesday at the age of 83. I'm sure you've heard already because the response within the hockey community and on Twitter was positively massive. (CBC)
**The Denver Post fired longtime columnist Adrian Dater for inappropriate behavior on social media. There's a brief note from me on the situation at the bottom of this post. (Awful Announcing)
**The Kings have extended defenseman Alec Martinez on a six-year, $24 million contract. (Sportsnet)
**Daniel Alfredsson will officially retire tonight by appearing on the ice before the Senators' game against the Islanders. Should be a special moment for a lot of Ottawa fans. (PHT)
**The Hurricanes have promoted Drew MacIntyre with Cam Ward ailing (Hurricanes)
**Martin Brodeur is expected to make his Blues debut tonight (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
**Jay Feaster says he was just trying to have fun with his tweet mocking the Oilers (PHT)
**The Panthers agreed to trade Colby Robak to the Ducks in exchange for Jesse Blacker and a conditional draft pick (AP Sports)
**The Stars will be without Patrick Eaves for a while due to a lower body injury (PHT)
**Just two games into his Ducks career, Eric Brewer will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a broken foot (O.C. Register)
**The NHL suspended Robert Bortuzzo two games for a hit on the defenseless Jaromir Jagr (PHT)
**Former Isles minority owner Paul Greenwood is heading to prison for 10 years after being convicted of financial fraud (AP)

Editor's Note: I also wanted to take a brief moment to say that, in light of recent events across the online hockey community, we're going to be taking a harder stance at SCH in terms of moderating comments that might foster a community that's unwelcoming to certain people, and women specifically. This is far more important than arguing about how to win hockey games or support the team, it's about supporting our fellow fans as legitimate equals in every way. The vast majority of you have always been fantastic in fostering a place for all Blackhawks fans, and it would be a shame to let a few spoil the whole. I apologize to anyone who has been offended by things said in these comments sections and hope we can all do better going forward. Go 'Hawks.
