The Washington Capitals will take a second shot at advancing to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 1998 when they play the New York Rangers in Game 6 of the second round Sunday at Verizon Center.
The Capitals had a chance to eliminate the Rangers, the President Trophy winners, Friday, but New York stayed alive with a 2-1 comeback win in overtime.
The Anaheim Ducks will try to advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time since they won the Stanley Cup in 2007 when they host the Calgary Flames in Game 5 on Sunday at Honda Center.
A win by the Ducks would pit them against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final.
