2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs: SCH open thread May 18

The New York Rangers will attempt to hold off the Tampa Bay Lightning’s offensive attack again in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final on Monday at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers won Game 1 at Madison Square Garden 2-1 on Dominic Moore’s game-winning goal with 2:25 remaining in the third period. The Rangers have not yet taken a 2-0 series lead this postseason. Every game they’ve played so far has been decided by one goal, and are 9-4 with a 7-2 record in games decided by a 2-1 score.

The AHL Calder Cup playoffs Eastern Conference Final is set between whet Manchester Monarchs (Kings) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (Rangers), but the Grand Rapids Griffins await the winner of the Oklahoma City Barons (Oilers) vs. Utica Comets (Canucks) for the Western Conference Final. Utica looks to close out the best-of-seven series in Game 6 at home Monday night.
