2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs: SCH open thread May 20

Tyler Johnson scored a hat trick to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 6-2 victory over the New York Rangers in Game 2 on Monday and tie the Eastern Conference Final series at 1-1.

Johnson scored a shorthanded goal, a power play goal and an even strength goal, something only Claude Giroux, Johan Franzen and Mario Lemieux have done. He leads the league with 11 goals, including four multiple goal games this postseason.

The series now heads to Tampa at Amalie Arena. The Bolts won their last Game 3 against the Montreal Canadiens and have gone 4-3 this postseason at home. The Rangers are 3-3 on the road this spring, including back-to-back losses in Game 3 and Game 4 of their second-round series against the Washington Capitals.

The AHL Calder Cup playoffs will have its first Game 7 this spring in the Western Conference semifinals. The Utica Comets (Canucks) host the Oklahoma City Barons (Oilers) after they failed to close them out Monday.
