Blackhawks vs. Kings game thread: Part 2

New, comments

A pair of goals from the Patricks have the Blackhawks up 2-1 after the first period of the nightcap in Los Angeles.

Gary A.Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Blackhawks officially fired up their unofficial second half of the season with puck drop at Staples Center against the hockey team from Los Angeles. They wasted no time in getting on the board, with Patrick Kane taking a deflected block shot and putting it past Jonathan Quick, who was way too far out of his net. The Kings struck back, courtesy of Jeff Carter, but the Hawks capitalized on the power play, with Patrick Sharp potting on with the man advantage.

The Hawks will have a bit of power play time left, as the Kings continue their parade to the box. Continue watching Patrick Kane skate circles around folks with our second period thread!

Go Hawks.
