Teuvo Teravainen will make his season debut and Corey Crawford will start in net as the Chicago Blackhawks host the Dallas Stars at the United Center on Sunday.

It will be the third meeting between the two teams. Chicago won the first two, a 2-1 shootout win on Opening Night in Dallas and a 6-2 victory on Nov. 16 in Chicago. The Blackhawks have won four straight and 10 of their last 11 versus the Stars.

Teravainen, a 2012 first-round selection, was recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League after forward Kris Versteeg suffered a hand injury against the Washington Capitals in the Winter Classic on Thursday at Nationals Park. Versteeg is expected to miss 'about a month.'

The 20-year-old Finnish forward ranks second on the IceHogs with 23 points (6G, 17A) and 92 shots on goal in 33 games. He centered the fourth line alongside Daniel Carcillo and Ben Smith during Saturday's morning skate, while Patrick Sharp skated in Versteeg's spot on the second line with Patrick Kane and Brad Richards.Teravainen has yet to registered a point in three NHL appearances for the Blackhawks.

Carcillo will not play as well as Tim Erixon, who is a healthy scratch. Joakim Nordstrom will skate for Carcillo.

Prior to the Blackhawks 3-2 loss to the Capitals in the Winter Classic, they had won three of four. Chicago has won nine of their last 10 at the Madhouse on Madison. The Blackhawks have scored a power-play goal in six of their last eight home games and registered at least 34 shots on net in each of their last four home outings.

Crawford is 10-5-0 in his career against the Stars, and posts a 2.33 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.

Opponent Breakdown: Dallas Stars

The red-hot Stars seek to win five in a row for the first time this season. The Stars are coming off a 7-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Vernon Fiddler scored a pair of goals, including one of five in the second period. Brett Ritchie, Erik Cole and Tyler Seguin each had a goal and an assist while Jamie Oleksiak had a hat trick of helpers.

The Stars benefited from the Wild being on the second night of a back-to-back, and now the Blackhawks will do the same. Dallas is 0-4-0 in back-to-backs this season.

Kari Lehtonen is 5-7-3 with a 2.96 GAA and .912 save percentage in his career against Chicago, while backup Anders Lindback is just 1-5-0 with a 4.28 GAA and .864 save percentage in six games this season. Lindback has not started since Nov. 29 and is 1-2-0 in three games versus the Blackhawks with a 4.01 GAA and .872 save percentage.
