Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

After the first 20 minutes of the 2015-16 NHL season, the Blackhawks find themselves down by a score of 3-1. The Rangers opened the scoring on a goal from Oscar Lindbergh less than two minutes into the period. The Blackhasks responded later, with Artemi Panarin notching his first career NHL goal. Shortly after, the Rangers regained the lead on a goal by Kevin Klein, and Derek Stepan made it 3-1 with just a minute left in the period.

The 'Hawks have some work to do here, but there was plenty of good to take away from the first frame. Let's hope they can build on that and mount a comeback in this one.

Here's your second period game thread. Let's go 'Hawks!
