David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Well that was certainly an exciting weekend. We got more news than usual to pour through so let's get to it:

**The Blackhawks acquired Antoine Vermette from Arizona for Klas Dahlbeck and a 2015 first-round pick (SCH)

**The team also landed Kimmo Timonen from Philadelphia for a couple draft picks (SCH)

**Tim Erixon was waived to make room for Timonen on the roster. The Maple Leafs claimed him Sunday. (SCH)

**Timonen says the Stanley Cup is his "only goal" in joining the Blackhakws for the stretch run (SCH)

**Lots of trades to run through:

- Keith Yandle and fodder to the Rangers for Anthony Duclair, John Moore and a first-round pick (Rangers)
- Lee Stempniak to the Jets for Carl Klingberg (PHT)
- Curtis Glencross to the Capitals for second- and third-round picks (Capitals)
- Tim Gleason to the Capitals for Jack Hillen and a fourth-round pick (Capitals)
- Tomas Fleischmann to the Ducks for Dany Heatley and a third-round pick (Ducks)

**Jaromir Jagr is already fitting in nicely with the Panthers (Miami Herald)

**The Coyotes might not be done dealing even after getting big hauls for Yandle and Vermette. Zybnek Michalek is garnering interest as well. (PHT)

**The Bruins weren't willing to give up a first-round pick for Vermette, which explains why he ended up in Chicago. (CSN NE)

**The Hurricanes have signed Jay McClement to a two-year, $2.4 million contract (TSN)
