Two is better than one, so why not two Seabrooks?

The Rockford IceHogs, the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, traded for Keith Seabrook from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for future considerations on Wednesday. The defenseman is three years younger than his brother Brent, who has been on the Blackhawks since 2005. Brent was taken 14th overall in the first round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the 'Hawks.

Keith was taken 52nd overall in the second round of the 2006 NHL Draft by the Washington Capitals. Since then, he's played for Calgary Hitmen of the WHL (2007-09), Abbotsford Heat (2009-11), Manitoba Moose on loan (2010-11), San Antonio Rampage and Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL, (2011-12) Val Pusteria in Italy (2012-13) and Stockton Thunder of ECHL this season.

The 26-year-old has played 51 games for Stockton this season. Prior to his stint in Stockton, Keith tallied 18 points in 18 games in Italy. The 6-foot, 198-pound blue liner has played in 186-career AHL games.
