Scott Darling made the most of his first career start in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, stopping 35 shots in the Chicago Blackhawks' 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators in Game 1 of the Western Conference quarterfinal series.

Andrew Desjardins scored a goal and registered four shots in his postseason debut after being a healthy scratch. Who knew Desjardins would be the trade deadline spark plug? Oh, and Marian Hossa did Hossa like things with two assists and six shots, although it seemed like much more.

The Hawks lead the first-round series 2-1.

Two down, 14 to go for the Hawks.
