The Tampa Bay Lightning can clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2004 when they host the New York Rangers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena.
In 2004, the Lightning beat the Philadelphia Flyers in seven games to advance to their first-ever Cup Final where they would beat the Calgary Flames in a seven-game thriller. Last year, the Rangers defeated the Montreal Canadiens in six games to reach the Cup Final. The Rangers last lost a conference final in 2012 to the New Jersey Devils in six games.
In AHL Calder Cup playoff action, the Manchester Monarchs (Kings) will look to go up 3-0 in the Eastern Conference Final against the Hartford Wolf Pack (Rangers) on the road.
