The Rockford IceHogs will face the Grand Rapids Griffins in the Western Conference Semifinals of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Grand Rapids (Red Wings) dropped the first two games of their first-round series against the Toronto Marlies before winning the next three, including a 3-1 victory in Game 5 to advance to the second round.
Rockford (49-23-5-2) swept the defending Calder Cup champion Texas Stars in three games to earn their spot in the second round.
