The Chicago Blackhawks will begin their quest to defend the Stanley Cup at their general manager's alma mater this fall.

The Hawks will return to the University of Notre Dame campus to open their 2015-16 training camp from Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20, the team announced Monday. It's the third straight season the Hawks have started their camp at Fighting Irish's Compton Family Ice Arena.

A complete camp schedule, along with Notre Dame ticket information for open practices and scrimmages, will be announced at a later date.

The Hawks will return to Chicago on Monday, Sept. 21, when they host their annual training camp festival. Tickets for the event are $5 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17 via the team's website or Ticketmaster.

In addition, the Hawks announced a six-game preseason schedule, which includes three home games: Detroit Red Wings (Sept. 22), St. Louis Blues (Sept. 26) and Dallas Stars (Oct. 3). Chicago will also play three road games: Red Wings (Sept. 23), Montreal Canadiens (Sept. 25) and Blues (Oct. 1). All three home preseason games will begin at 7:30 p.m. central time.
