The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Viktor Svedberg to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.

Ohio State defenseman Sam Jardine, a sixth round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, signed a one-year AHL deal with the Rockford IceHogs.
