The Chicago Blackhawks play their third preseason game Friday night as they take on the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal. After splitting the opening two games with the Detroit Red Wings, including a 4-1 loss on Wednesday, the Blackhawks look to get back into the winning mode.
The Blackhawks' roster Friday night is nothing to write home about. Almost none of the established Chicago veterans made the trip north of the border, with Teuvo Teravainen and Andrew Desjardins being the only regulars from last season set to play. Marko Dano and Trevor Daley are among the new faces who will be in the lineup.
Scott Darling also made the trip up north, so he and goalie Mac Carruth will split the time in goal for the Hawks. The Canadiens will have 2015 Vezina Trophy winner Carey Price split time with top goalie prospect Zac Fucale. Tomas Plekanec, Jeff Petry, Alexei Emelin and Devante Smith-Pelly are among the players set to appear for Montreal.
