The Blackhawks were celebrating the Cubs’ win last night, too

Fly the W!

darling cubs pitch

It was the eve before the Chicago Blackhawks’ season opener, and all were having a good time, because the Chicago Cubs finally put an end to the San Francisco Giants’ pesky habit of winning the World Series every even year of this decade.

RIP EYBS, 2010-2016.

Thank goodness the Cubs had that fantastic ninth inning to finish off the Giants relatively quickly, and not end up with another game going until almost 2 a.m., like Game 3 did. As Ryan Hartman put it...

He’s got a busy day ahead of him today — because Blackhawks hockey is finally back!

If any Blackhawk was the most amped about the Cubs advancing to the NLCS, it was undoubtedly Lemont, Ill., native Scott Darling.

Couldn’t have put it any better.
