Teuvo Teravainen will center the top line, while Jonathan Toews serves his one-game suspension for missing the 2016 NHL All-Star Game when the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night at Pepsi Center.

Teravainen, 21, has skated in a number of roles for the Blackhawks this season. Most recently, Teravinen has been the right wing on the third line, but has seen time at center, including on the second line when Artem Anisimov was ill. Teravinen has nine goals and 13 assists in 49 games.

Toews, 27, missed the third period of Chicago's first-half finale at Carolina due to an illness. Per NHL rules, Toews is forced to sit out the game at Colorado. Any player named an All-Star who misses the game, regardless of whether it's due to injury, is required to sit out his team's first game following the break. Toews has 19 goals and 16 assists in 53 games this season.
