The Chicago Blackhawks have three games on the schedule, highlighted by the Stadium Series at TCF Bank Stadium against the Minnesota Wild. Chicago opens the week against Toronto on Monday before packing their bags for New York to play the Rangers on Wednesday.
Let's take a look at the upcoming week in Blackhawks' hockey (all times Central):
Monday - Maple Leafs at Blackhawks, 7:30 p.m. (NHLN-US, CSN-C)
Chicago plays its first game with Marian Hossa out of the lineup since placing the forward on injured reserve. The Blackhawks will look for a season sweep against Toronto, who they beat 4-1 on Jan. 15 in the first meeting this season.
With it being Presidents Day, the NHL has two afternoon games with Detroit in Brooklyn to play the Islanders (Noon) and Anaheim in Calgary (3 p.m.). Pittsburgh visits the Panthers and birthday boy Jaromir Jagr, who turns 44.
Central Division: DAL at NSH, MIN at VAN
Tuesday - Off day
There are eight games on the schedule, including two divisional match ups separated by four points: Buffalo at Ottawa and Dallas at St. Louis. Justin Williams plays his former team when the Kings visit Washington, D.C. and Lightning host the Sharks.
Central Division: WPG at CAR, DAL at STL
Wednesday - Blackhawks at Rangers, 7 p.m. (NBCSN)
The Blackhawks look to avenge their opening night loss to the Rangers. Chicago fell 3-2 on banner-raising night, and New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is red-hot with five straight wins.
The other two games are the Habs in Colorado and the Wild continuing their road trip in Calgary.
IceHogs: Rockford hosts Manitoba, 10:30 a.m.
Central Division: MTL at COL, MIN at CGY
Thursday - Off day
There are 11 games on the schedule, highlighted by the Red Wings in Pittsburgh for the NBCSN game. The Capitals are in Brooklyn, the Sharks visit Florida and the Kings are in St. Louis for a physical match up.
Central Division: WPG at TB, LAK at STL, BOS at NSH, MIN at EDM, DAL at ARI
Friday - Off Day
There are five games on tap with the Flyers in Montreal for a NHL Network game. Only one point separates the Devils and the Islanders as New Jersey hosts New York. Both the Sabres and Blue Jackets have 52 points as they clash in Columbus.
IceHogs: Rockford hosts Manitoba, 7 p.m.
Central Division: Idle
Saturday - Off day
Boston is in Dallas as the Bruins visit old fried Tyler Seguin on NHL Network. For having nine games on the schedule it's surprising that only one is on national television. Elsewhere, the Devils visit D.C. and the Penguins host the Lightning. Los Angeles visiting Nashville should also be a good game.
IceHogs: Rockford visits Chicago Wolves (Blues), 7 p.m.
Central Division: WPG at FLA, LA at NSH, BOS at DAL, STL at ARI, COL at EDM
Sunday - Blackhawks at Wild, 2:30 p.m. (NBC)
Chicago close out the week with its NHL-leading fourth outdoor game. The Hawks hosted the Red Wings for the 2009 Winter Classic at Wrigley Field and hosted a 2014 Stadium Series game against the Penguins at Soldier Field. Chicago visited the Capitals for the 2015 Winter Classic at Nationals Park. They're 1-2 in outdoor games with their lone win coming in a football stadium.
