The Chicago Blackhawks made two trades Friday to bolster their lineup. They swapped Rob Scuderi for Christian Ehroff with the Los Angeles Kings then made another splash by acquiring forwards Tomas Fleischmann and Dale Weise from the Montreal Canadiens for forward Phillip Danault and a second-round pick in the 2018 draft.

Both trades came after the Hawks waived forward Jiri Sekac earlier in the day and one day after Chicago acquired forward Andrew Ladd in a trade with the Winnipeg Jets.
