Marcus Kruger gave up his No. 16 for Andrew Ladd to have his old number back when the winger returned to Chicago via trade with Winnipeg. Kruger will now wear No. 22, and when Dale Weise, who wore No. 22 in Montreal, was acquired from the Canadiens, the Swedish forward had no plans of changing his number again.
Kruger, asked if Weise made him an offer for #22 "I didn't even think about it ... I couldn't do it twice." #Blackhawks

Kruger, 25, wore No. 16 his entire six-year NHL career. He has yet to take the ice in his new sweater.
Weise wore No. 32 with the New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks prior to joining Montreal in June 2014. Travis Moen was already wearing No. 32, so Weise opted for No. 22. Weise settled for No. 25 with veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival having No. 32.
