The Chicago Blackhawks will be represented by seven prospects in the 2016 NCAA Hockey Tournament. The 16-team field was announced Sunday and includes a Hawks prospect in every regional except the West Regional.
The Hawks are guaranteed to have a prospect play in the Frozen Four with at least one prospect on every team in the Midwest Regional. Dylan Sikura (No. 13 Northeastern) and Nick Schmaltz and Luke Johnson (No. 3 North Dakota) meeting in the first round. Tyler Motte and No. 7 Michigan are on the opposite side and draw Dennis Gilbert and No. 12 Notre Dame.
The Northeast Regional features Chris Calnan and No. 5 Boston College, while John Hayden and No. 10 draw into the East Regional.
