The Chicago Blackhawks have eight games left in the regular-season and are fighting for a playoff berth. Each day until the end of the regular-season, we'll breakdown their chances at a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Thursday's results
Arizona ended first-place Dallas' win streak and the Avalanche blew another lead in the third period for the Flyers to win in Denver. On the winning side, the Jets beat the Pacific Division-leading Kings, the Wild beat the Flames adn the Predators moved within two points of the idle Hawks with a win over the Canucks.
The Oilers also beat the Sharks to prevent them from clinching a playoff spot.
Friday's scoreboard watch
St. Louis hosts Vancouver, who the Hawks play on the road Sunday. A win would put the Blues in a first-place tie with Dallas. The other two games feature Eastern Conference teams.
