The Chicago Blackhawks have eight games left in the regular-season and are fighting for a playoff berth. Each day until the end of the regular-season, we'll breakdown their chances at a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Friday's results
St. Louis clinched a playoff spot with a 4-0 win over Vancouver, who the Hawks play on the road Sunday. The other two games featured all Eastern Conference teams.
Saturday's scoreboard watch
Chicago, who six points back from first-place Dallas, returns to the ice in Calgary against the Flames for the first part of a back-to-back. The Sharks can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Dallas. The Blues, who are tied with Dallas, but not in first place based on regulation wins (ROW), visit league-leading Washington.
Nashville is two points back of Chicago and host Columbus. They're 13-2-5 in their last 20 games. Minnesota holds a three-point lead over Colorado in the race for the second wild-card spot in the West. The two teams face off in Denver.
