Chicago Blackhawks prospect Chris Calnan will play in the 2016 Frozen Four for Boston College on April 7 at Amalie Arena in St. Petersburgh, Fla.

The Eagles defeated Minnesota-Dultuh, 3-2, in the Northeast Regional Final on Saturday night at DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.

It is BC's 25th Frozen Four appearance. The Eagles are two games away from their sixth national championship, and fifth under coach Jerry York. They previously won titles in 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2012 under York, while the 1949 championship team was coached by John "Snooks" Kelley.

BC will play the East Regional Champion next. The No. 1 overall seed Quinnipac will play against the UMass-Lowell for the East championship.

Calnan, a 2012 third-round draft pick, recorded an assist in each of BC's first two games in the tournament. The right winger has three goals and eight assists in 28 games in his sophomore season for BC.
