St. Louis Blues' Ryan Reaves was ejected during Wednesday's game after a hit on Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Christian Ehrhoff.
Reaves and Ehrhoff both closed in on a loose puck behind the net, and Reaves turned his attention to hitting Ehrhoff instead of the puck. Reaves jumped into Ehrhoff, leading with his left elbow, which hit him in the chest and the impact causing his head to snap backwards.

Reaves was given a five minute charging penalty and was ejected from the game. Ehrhoff, who has a concussion history, left the ice for the trainer's room. Ehrhoff returned to the ice to start the second period.
