Andrew Ladd had a busy day prior to Game 1 of the Chicago Blackhawks' opening round playoff series against the St. Louis Blues. His wife went into labor - and as a result, he found himself rushing back and forth between St. Louis and Chicago to prepare for the game, no wait to prepare for the birth of his child, no wait kid's not here yet he's playing.
Ladd played 17:47 in Game 1, taking three shots on net - one of seven Hawks with multiple shots - and throwing eight hits while he was at it. It was a rather eventful day.
But not as special as today is - because today, the Ladds welcomed their third child into the world.
Big congrats to @aladd16 on the addition of Walker Gordon Ladd! Mom, dad, big brother and big sister are all doing well.

On an off-day, at that - how considerate! Hopefully Ladd can get a bit of rest with his family before Game 2 in St. Louis tomorrow night, and he won't have to potentially miss any more games.
What are the bets now that Ladd opens the Hawks' scoring? He's gotta score goals for Walker now.
