SCH 30 Days of Fandom, Day 20: Favorite NHL game ever

With the Blackhawks bowing out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round for the first time since 2012, we have a much longer offseason to fill with content and fun than normal. One of the ways we have decided to that is to do this 30 day "challenge" in which we will present a topic for you, the SCH commenters and community, to answer. Every day for 30 days we will have a new topic to discuss in the comments.

Day 20: Your favorite NHL game of all time?

Adam: This is one of my favorite questions on the 30 day list because it allows for such a wide variety of unique answers. Everyone has different things that click for them when it comes to whether or not they like a hockey game. I'm sure many of us will have Blackhawks games as our favorites, but some of us may not. For me, my favorite NHL game ever was the Blackhawks dramatic comeback on October 12, 2009 against the Calgary Flames. After the Hawks went down 5-0 to the Flames early on, they came back and won the game 6-5. For a team that was young and just starting their upswing into becoming an elite powerhouse in the NHL, it was an awesome sign and a great way to give themselves momentum early on in the season. That game was when I realized that team was truly special, and they proved me just about 8 months later when they hoisted the Stanley Cup.
