It's finally here - rivalry day at the World Cup. In the day game, it's a Scandinavian battle against Finland and Sweden, while the night cap features the United States against Canada.
Both Europe and Canada would clinch a spot in the semifinals if Canada beats Team USA. The Americans must win and need to defeat the Czech Republic on Thursday for them to advance. A Canada loss to Europe and the U.S., they'll be out.
Last time out, Team USA was shut out by Europe, 3-0, while Canada posted a 6-0 dominating win over the Czechs. In Group B, Sweden edged out a 2-1 victory over Finland in its tournament opener. Finland wasn't as luck with a 4-1 loss to Team North America.
The Chicago Blackhawks will be represented on each team: Niklas Hjalmarsson and Marcus Kruger (Sweden) face Ville Pokka (Finland), while Patrick Kane (USA) drops the puck against Corey Crawford and Jonathan Toews (Canada).
