Despite hockey’s trend of providing “puck luck” to teams in the playoffs, the Chicago Blackhawks seemed to get the raw end of the deal after a crazy bounce nearly put Chicago up early against Nashville in Game 3.
Midway through the first period of Monday’s game between the Blackhawks and the Nashville Predators, goaltender Pekka Rinne was put in an awkward situation as a Johnny Oduya clearing attempt during the Blackhawks’ power play took a weird bounce off the boards. Rinne dove in front of the goal crease, BARELY getting his stick on the puck to save a goal for Nashville.
This save could haunt our memories.
