Denver defenseman and 2017 Hobey Baker winner Will Butcher is now an unrestricted free agent after his draft rights expired with the Colorado Avalanche. The Chicago Blackhawks have been linked to Butcher.

On Monday, Blackhawks great Chris Chelios was named a head coach for the sixth annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, to be played Sept. 21 in KeyBank Center.
