2018 Stanley Cup playoffs: May 3 open thread

There are two Game 4s in the Stanley Cup playoffs Thursday, with one series from each conference.

The Washington Capitals will try to build a 3-1 series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins for the first time since the 1995 playoffs. Washington blew a 3-1 series lead that spring and Pittsburgh took the series before falling to eventual Stanley Cup champion New Jersey in the next round.

The Capitals will be without forward Tom Wilson for the next three games after the NHL suspended him for his hit against Pittsburgh’s Zach Aston-Reese in Game 3. Wilson can return to the lineup in Game 7, if necessary.

The Winnipeg Jets hope to keep the good vibes going at Bell MTS Place. The Jets have won 13 straight at home, including a 7-3 victory over the Nashville Predators in Game 3 on Tuesday. The Predators went 1-1 on the road during the first round against Colorado.
