The Blackhawks revealed their threads prior to Jeremy Colliton making his NHL coaching debut against the Hurricanes at the United Center.
The Bruins released their uniforms earlier in the day.
The Blackhawks logo features a black background with white lettering ‘BLACKHAWKS’ wrapped around the top and ‘CHICAGO’ at the bottom. The original logo from that time featured the team name as Black Hawks. The name wasn’t officially changed to a compound word until 1986 when someone discovered the team’s original NHL contract indicated it should be.
The Indian head logo is still used to this day though it has gone through some modifications, mainly including the use of color. The original logo offers far less detail on the feathers, but the Blackhawks decided to use their current Indian head in the logo.
Both teams have incorporated the years they’ve won their six Stanley Cup championships on the inside collar with a nod to Notre Dame. The Bruins used shamrocks, while the Blackhawks have classic hash marks like the end zone pattern.
The two historic franchises have only met once in the Stanley Cup Final, with the Blackhawks scoring two goals in 17 seconds to win Game 6 in 2013 to capture the Cup.

Boston is 1-1 in the Winter Classic, splitting two games with home ice. The Bruins defeated the Flyers 2-1 in overtime at Fenway Park in 2011, but fell 5-1 to the Canadiens at Gillette Stadium in the 2016 edition.
The Blackhawks are 1-4 in outdoor games, including a 0-3 mark in the Winter Classic. Chicago’s lone win outside came against the Penguins in the 2014 Stadium Series at Soldier Field.
