Blackhawks prospect MacKenzie Entwistle made the Canadian men’s national junior team for the upcoming World Junior Championship tournament Tuesday. Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi was ruled out of the tournament with an undisclosed injury to finalize Canada’s roster.

Entwistle won’t be the only Blackhawks prospect playing for Canada as defenseman Ian Mitchell also made the team. Mitchell, a 2017 second-rounder, has 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 14 games during his sophomore season at the University of Denver.

Chicago acquired Entwistle in the Marian Hossa trade with the Coyotes in July. Entwistle, a 2017 third-rounder, has 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) in 29 games in his fourth season with the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL.

The tournament will run from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.
