Cam Ward made 30 saves to lead the Blackhawks to a 2-1 win over the Predators on Tuesday at the United Center in Chicago. The Blackhawks are off Wednesday before starting a back-to-back Thursday in Dallas.

The IceHogs have a ruff matchup Wednesday when they host the Central Division-leading Admirals at BMO Harris Bank Center. It’s a Wednesday Dog Day so fans can pay $2 to bring their dog to the game. Proceeds benefit local animal shelters.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, five Bears players (Tarik Cohen, Kyle Fuller, Akiem Hicks, Eddie Jackson and Khalil Mack) were named to the Pro Bowl. The Cubs signed infielder Daniel Descalso to a two-year deal worth $5 million.

The Bulls host the Nets on Wednesday at the United Center.
