For the second straight game, a member of the Chicago Blackhawks was sent to the locker room early.

During the second period of the Blackhawks game against the Calgary Flames on Sunday night, forward Chris Kunitz was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct after elbowing Calgary’s Travis Hamonic in the face.

On Saturday night, Duncan Keith was tossed after fighting with Miikka Salomaki of the Nashville Predators, following Salmoaki’s questionable hit on Keith.

Calgary scored twice on the ensuing five-minute power play, breaking a 1-1 deadlock.

Earlier in Kunitz’s career, he was suspended for a game during the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs after elbowing Simon Gagne of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
