Collin Delia will make his season debut Friday when the Blackhawks visit the Avalanche at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Chicago recalled Delia on Monday from the AHL on an “emergency basis” after star goaltender Corey Crawford suffered his second concussion in less than a year Sunday against San Jose.

Cam Ward has won back-to-back games for Chicago since Crawford was placed on injured reserve as he goes through concussion protocol. Ward made 30 saves against Nashville on Tuesday in Chicago and 26 stops Thursday in Dallas.

When Delia was called up his .933 save percentage led the AHL and his 2.34 goals-against average was tied for third through 17 games.

Delia made his NHL debut March 29 against the Jets in Chicago after Anton Forsberg was injured while warming up before the game. Delia made 25 saves before leaving with a 6-2 lead at 5:59 of the third period due to cramping.

Delia then allowed five goals on 36 shots the next night against the Avalanche in Denver.
