The Blackhawks close out the 2018 calendar year by visiting the Avalanche on Saturday at the Pepsi Center.

The IceHogs allowed three unanswered goals in the second period in a 4-2 home loss to the Wolves on Friday. The two teams meet again Saturday night in Rosemont.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Fire traded defender Jonathan Campbell (2016 No. 12 pick) to Seattle for a 2020 fourth-round pick. Zach Levine scored 24 points to lead the Bulls to a 101-92 road win against the Wizards on Friday in Washington, D.C.
