The Chicago Blackhawks added another defenseman its ledger by signing prospect Dennis Gilbert to a three-year entry-level deal Friday.

In other prospect news, defenseman Henri Jokiharju’s season ended with the Portland Winterhawks’ 4-0 loss to the Everett Silvertips in Game 5 of their second-round series Friday. The 18-year-old scored 12 goals and had 59 assists in 63 games this season. He added eight points (three goals, five assists) in 12 postseason contests.
