The Chicago Blackhawks will receive the No. 27 overall pick in next month’s draft from the Nashville Predators as compensation for the Ryan Hartman-Victor Ejdsell trade in February.

Chicago will also have a 2018 fourth-round pick from the Predators, who fell 5-1 to the Winnipeg Jets in Game 7 in a second-round playoff series Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Hartman, who the Hawks drafted No. 30 overall in 2013, scored three goals and six points in 21 regular-season games with the Predators. The 23-year-old added two goals and an assist in nine playoff games. The West Dundee, Illinois native was also suspended for Game 5 against the Colorado Avalanche in the first round for an illegal check to Carl Soderberg’s head in Game 4.

The Hawks have eight picks — including two in the first, third and fourth rounds — for the 2018 NHL draft, which is June 22-23 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
