Chicago Blackhawks will have four players in action Friday at the World Championship in Denmark.
In Group B, the United States (Alex DeBrincat, Patrick Kane, Connor Murphy and Jordan Oesterle) will take on South Korea on NHL Network. DeBrincat was voted the U.S.’ player of the game in the Americans’ 3-2 overtime win over Latvia on Thursday after having two primary assists. Kane logged two secondary assists.
Team USA (2-2-0) is atop the Group B standings with 10 points, while South Korea has already been relegated to Division I-A for next year with four consecutive losses.
Former Hawk
Forward Peter Regin and host Denmark will play Norway. The 32-year-old Danish captain has yet to find the scoresheet in four games at Worlds. Denmark (1-1-0-2) is one point back of Latvia (1-1-1-1) for the fourth and final quarterfinal spot in Group B, while Norway (0-1-1-2) is in seventh place.
