The Rockford IceHogs, the Chicago Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, advanced to the Western Conference Final for the first time in franchise history with a 6-3 win over the Manitoba Moose on Friday at BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford.
In the Stanley Cup playoffs, Alexander Ovechkin scored a power-play goal and assisted on another to help the Washington Capitals to a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final.
