Chicago Blackhawks will have eight players and a prospect in action Tuesday at the World Championship in Denmark.
The day starts with Team USA (Alex DeBrincat, Patrick Kane, Connor Murphy and Jordan Oesterle) facing off against Finland. The Americans are undefeated in the tournament with 16 points and Finland is three points back in the Group B standings. Kane leads the tournament with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists), while former Hawk Teuvo Teravainen is right behind him at 14 points (five goals, nine assists).
Tomas Jurco and Slovakia will take on an already relegated Belarus team. Slovakia is one point out of the final playoff spot in Group A and will need a win and a Switzerland loss to France in order to advance. Jurco has two goals in the tournament.
Dominik Kahun and Germany play their final game of the tournament against Canada. The Germans are already eliminated. Kahun has one goal and two assists at Worlds.
In Group A, the top spot is on the line between Russia (Artem Anisimov and prospect Maxim Shalunov) and Sweden (Erik Gustafsson). Sweden, the reigning Worlds champion, is undefeated in the tournament while Russia is one point back. Anisimov and Shalunov each have six points in the tournament, while Gustafsson has only one assist.
