The Vegas Golden Knights look to take their first series lead in the Western Conference Final when they host the Winnipeg Jets in Game 3 on Wednesday.
Vegas evened the series with a 3-1 victory in Game 2.
The Golden Knights found plenty of success at home during the regular season with a 29-10-2 record at T-Mobile Arena. They’re 4-1 there in the playoffs.
Winnipeg, however, has won four of its last five road games in the playoffs. Its only road loss during that span was a 5-4 defeat in overtime in Game 2 in the second round against the Nashville Predators.
William Karlsson scored twice in Vegas’ 5-2 win over the Jets on Nov. 10 in the only regular-season meeting between the two teams at T-Mobile Arena.
Aside from the home vs. away narrative, scoring first as also played a major factor for both teams. Winnipeg is 8-1 when it scores the first goal while Vegas is 7-1 in the playoffs.
