Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Erik Gustafsson and newly-signed forward Dominik Kahun will be in action Wednesday at the World Championship in Denmark.
In the first set of games, Kahun and Germany will meet South Korea. Kahun was 4 for 15 on faceoffs in 18:28 of ice time in Germany’s 5-4 shootout loss to Norway. The 22-year-old did not record a shot on goal in the game and has yet to score a point in the tournament.
Gustafsson and Sweden will take on Austria. The 26-year-old registered four shots on goal in 19:09 of ice time in Sweden’s 4-0 victory over France. He has yet to record a point in three tournament games.
Former Hawks
Peter Regin and Denmark will take on Finland and Teuvo Teravainen and Ville Pokka. Teravainen’s 10 points (four goals, six assists) rank second in the tournament only behind Finnish and Carolina Hurricanes teammate Sebastian Aho (11 points).
