The Chicago Blackhawks will play the second half of a back-to-back Friday when they visit the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre.

It’s the first of two preseason tilts against the two teams. They’ll meet again Sept. 27 in Chicago.

The Hawks are 0-2 this preseason with losses at Columbus and Detroit. Chicago fell 4-2 to the Red Wings on Thursday night, with Patrick Kane, who was playing in his first preseason game, and MacKenzie Entwistle both scoring for the Hawks. Entwistle was assigned to the reigning OHL champion Hamilton Bulldogs earlier Friday.

Kevin Lankinen, who was assigned to the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs on Friday, entered in relief of Anton Forsberg in the loss. Collin Delia and Matt Tomkins will split time in net against the Senators.

Center Marcus Kruger and winger Dylan Sikura are the only projected starters to play in Ottawa. Sikura and his older brother, Tyler Sikura, will both be in action.

Chicago’s 2017 first-round draft pick Henri Jokiharju, a right-handed defenseman, is also scheduled to play in Ottawa. The Hawks’ top pick in this year’s draft in Adam Boqvist, however, was left on the team’s roster after playing in Detroit. Boqvist hasn’t been assigned to the OHL’s London Knights, and coach Joel Quenneville hasn’t ruled out the Swedish defenseman making the Hawks’ roster to start the season.

All eyes will be on the blueline for Ottawa as Thomas Chabot makes his preseason debut. Chabot was the Senators’ second leading scorer among defenseman with 25 points in 63 games last season during his rookie campaign.

Mike Condon will receive his second start of the preseason for the Senators. Condon stopped 18 of 20 shots against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. He’ll split time in goal with Filip Gustavsson.
